Evaluando necesidades insatisfechas en hermanos/hermanas de personas con Autismo

Objetivos:  Al finalizar este encuentro, los participantes serán motivados a identificar las diferentes necesidades humanas de los hermanos/hermanas de personas con Autismo.  Los participantes podrán, igualmente reflexionar en indicadores y señales que alertan la insatisfacción de dichas necesidades.  Finalmente, los participantes podrán identificar por lo menos tres actividades intencionales que les ayudarán a fomentar la satisfacción de dichas necesidades y a crear un ambiente familiar que cuide equitativamente a cada miembro de la familia.
 

Travel Training During Covid / Capacitación de Viajes Durante Covid

In order to achieve greater independence, community involvement, and overall quality of life, this webinar will give an overview of a structured travel training program for parents with students ages 14+ with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) on NYC public transportation, including a critical review of key skills and hygiene practices that should be used during the Covid-19 pandemic before, during, and after traveling in the community, as well as a thorough review of PPE equipment and its proper use.
